It is not a big secret that Trakehner blood makes for a perfect mix with other German warmbloods, and this site documents some of the horses that carry a good amount of Trakehner blood and stand out as performers and/or breeding stallions for dressage.

Anthony FRH (Hanoverian) by EH Argument/Trak out of Wanda by Wenzel I - Einklang. Anthony FRH is a great exmaple of a horse that can grow old and stay sound in the much demanding sport of dressage. Now 20 years old, the dark bay gelding and his constant trainer and rider Isabelle Werth won their last big recognized shows at Grand Prix level in the fall of 2005. Anthony FRH will be retired officially during the Gala event of the Verden Elite auction in 2006, where his career once started. He won the Bundeschampionat as a 5 year old and always had the note of being "special" about things. The say ing of genius and maniac in one horse probably suits him well. Anthony FRH won Gold medals for Germany at the European Championships in 1998 and always was a stunning freestyle horse. Photo by Dirk Caremans.
