The Trakehner in Show Jumping - The next generation-
|
Lessen by Suchard out of Lossainen by EH Louidor, was approved in Neumünster in 2002 as a premium stallion and "best jumper" of the crop. He reminded everybody of his famous sire Suchard, both in movement quality and style over fences. In contrary to every other Trakehner jumper line, no matter how successful, the Suchard-clan offers the bascule and scope we usually only see in Holstein. Like former top jumper Schenkendorf, Lessen was bought at auction by British Ingrid Christodoulou for her Highfields Stud and developed into a great performance stallion under saddle. In 2005, the powerful stallion placed high at the British National Show Jumper Championships.

Sir Graditz by Inster Graditz out of ES Susi V by Ozean, was approved in Neumünster and also sold at auction to Ingrid Christodoulou, who has quietly achieved something rather interesting: 3 of Neumünster's "best jumpers" were sold to her, and all 3 have won major show jumper events under saddle!
Sir Graditz' jumping talent is not a surprise, his dam produced the impeccable Suchard, and his sire was a celebrated top eventer before his untimely death. Sir Graditz won some of Great Britain's biggest Young Horse Championships and has successfully made the transition to the top: the grey stallion, whose fanclub would make any football team proud, has pajor success at the Royal Horse Show and other, internationally recognized events.

Tzigane by Graditz *E* out of Tekoa by Condus. The 1998 ATA approved Tzigane first started out in eventing, and won "Horse of the Year" awards from the ATA and finished 5th in the Nation at Training level eventing in 2004.
The impressive black/brown stallion most recently switched his "discipline" and is now prmoted and trained by Helmut Schrant, who already took his half brother Advocate *Pg* to Grand Prix level in show jumping. Tzigane started his new occupation with most exciting rounds at the Lake St. Louis Jumper Show in early February 2006 and won classes at Level 4 and 5. By the summer of 2006, he had done Level 6 successfully, and there is no end in sight...

Titulus by Kasparow out of Tiffany by Timber was approved in Neumünster in 2003 and won "best jumper" awards with a flat 10 for his performance. He comes from a row of excellent show jumper producers via Habicht-EH Sixtus-Kasparow so that his talent is not a total surprise. He can back that up by a most interesting and rare mare line that has three advanced level show jumpers in a row (Timber-Caanitz-Kopernikus).
Titulus finished both his 30 and 70 day test in Germany and was recently brought "home" to Patricia and Serge Barsalou from Quebec, Canada, so carefully begin his performance career under saddle.

Hirtentanz by Axis out of ES Herzlany by Kostolany. The superlatives for this black jumper were hard to top after his performances in Neumünster 2005. Breed director Lars Gehrmann even spoke of the "best we've ever seen here". Fact is that the powerful stallion earned his premium with a stellar free jumping performance in the Holstenhallen. Again, jumping talent is not rare in this family, since also the exceptional EH Herzruf and Heinrich der Löwe are close maternal relatives.
Hirtentanz was sold to David Beattie of Watertown, WI, in early 2006 and remains in Germany for his performance tests and breeding until the end of the season in 2007.
