Sire Maizauber is an elite stallion and most of his late career, he stood at the Gorlo Stud in Melle, Germany, where he was crossed a lot with daughters of the Perlargonie and Bea families. EH Maizauber is a member of the breed's internationally most reknown dressage line (Pasteur xx-Mahagoni) and despite his own success under the dressage saddle at FEI level, EH Maizauber has also produced some excellent show jumpers, e.g. the international Grand Prix jumper Humanus. Other approved Maizauber sons include ther show jumper Bel Espace Go and the younger Hamlet Go and Bellini Go. Maizauber's dam Maiglöckchen is a daughter of the former champion stallion Tannenberg, who was very popular in North America as a mare producer and left the breed with over 10 approved sons, although not many of them turned out to be important. Tannenberg was the maternal half sibling to Tannenfels, Tannensee and Tannengrund. The third dam sire Pregel was one of the breed's most important sport horse sires after the war and many of his sons had tremendous influence, e.g. Donauwind, Magnet or Kurfürst. The mare line of Maizauber, tracing back to the mare Martchen by Harun al Raschid ox, also produced the ATA stallions Malachi and Martini *E*. The dam Flandern is a daughter of the highly valuable, but sadly underestimated Alpenkönig, who was a Hessia State stud stallion for most parts of his life. He was sold to Westfalia at the beginning of the 2003 breeding season, but died before he got to breed any more mares. Alpenkönig has only 12 registered Trakehner daughters, but over 50 from the local Hessia warmblood breed. His get have earned over 65.000 Euro in competition until today, most of them in show jumping. His most successful offsprfing was Hofgut Albühren's Alpenfürst who show jumped internationally at S*** level (e.g. Calgary) and participated at Nations Cups. Alpenkönig was considered a classical Trakehner refinement sire and added not only beauty and great athleticism to his get, but offered a rather unique pedigree. His sire Feldspat was a son of the Hessenstein-son Persaldo, an excellent show jumper producer. Persaldo, who was stationed in South Germany, also left his mark through several very good daughters, e.g. the dam of the Grand Prix competitor and GOV approved Herzberg (by EH Leonardo). The dam sire Herbstglanz by Komet also sired the important Ordensglanz (sire of e.g. EH Argument, Argonaut and the 1994 champion Glanzlicht). The small Flamme line has produced the FEI dressage horses Fabius and Falkenhost, as well as the S level show jumpers Fenitza, Fizzcaraldo and Feuerball. The second dam Flaiga is also dam of the stallion candidate 43 Flatow.
