The sire
Freudenfest was champion in Neumünster in 1999, and followed his full brother Farinelli, who was proclaimed as champion in 1996. Farinelli competed at S level dressage, while Freudenfest finished his performance test, won young horse classes and then only stood at stud, but was trained to Grand Prix by his biggest admirer, Otto Langels. Freudenfest's sire Tolstoi was premium in Neumünster, and he too never competed much, but sired several approved sons and very good daughters. Tolstoi's dam Tugend is dam of the S level show jumpers Tiflis and Trenk Quattro (both by Flaneur), while her daughter Turandot IV is dam of the approved Turnus (by Zauberklang *E*) and daughter Titania is dam of the great sport horse sire Tycoon (by Donaumonarch). Freudenfest's dam line is the direct one that leads back to the major sire Flaneur, his full brother Mahdi, and the approved Falkensee (NZ and now AUS), Feingeist (CAN), Flugwind, Fasolt (ATA) and Fahnenträger II.
The dam
Dam Lymara P won Ic- and Ib-prizes at the 2001 regional mare show Schleswig-Holstein and at the 2005 national mare show Neustadt/Dosse. Her full sisters Lizzy and Limone were awarded state premium and premium status as well and all three sisters were successfully shown together in family classes. The small East German mare line of Lilofee also produced the approved Lichtblick by Nerv, one of the most promising younger show jumpers in the Trakehner breed in Germany.
