The sire
Farinelli was the champion in NMS in 1996 and is a full brother to the 1999 champion Freudenfest. Tolstoi had several approved sons in the breed, among them the 1995 premium stallion Saint Tropez, who became the first Trakehner State Stud stallion in Warendorf after 25 years of no Trakehner representatives in the stud. Tolstoi's dam produced two FEI show jumpers and the mares Turandot (dam of Turnus) and Titania (dam of Tycoon, UK). Farinelli competed successful up to S level in dressage in Germany. His mare family traces back to Flocke by Gabriel, dam of the impeccable Flaneur. The same family also produced e.g. Feingeist (now Canada) and Falkensee (now Australia).
The dam
Dam Rawenna is a full sister to the impressive 100 day test winner Rastenburg and the M level dressage mare Rhamina S. This is also the family of the approved FEI dressage stallion Rubin, sire of e.g. the ATA's Rubinesque *Ps*. Dam sire EH Van Deyk was a Grand Prix dressage stallion, and second dam sire Coktail produced the ATA's important Martini *Pg*E*, as well as the dam of Peron TSF and teh grand dam of Solero TSF. Excellent dressage blood through several generations!
