The sire
Elkadi II is one of the breed's oldest active stallions, and also one of its most interesting sport horser producers. His sire Trafaret, who was bred along Russian Trakehner thinnking, also produced the outstanding East German Trakehner stallion Sonnenstrahl, whose Inter I winning son Mephisto was approved for the breed a few years ago. In the background, Almanach I stands as one of Russia's all time great stallions with offspring in international show jumping, e.g. in the dam line of the shooting star Heops. The Arabian Topol ox was a paternal half brother to the great Pomeranets ox (both by Priboj ox) and sired a number of very influential Arabians and Trakehners in Russia. E.g., his son Naftalin ox produced the excellent race horse Kosmonaut ox, who was later exported to Germany and stood at Gestüt Vogelsangshof. His daughter, PS Marchesa, is dam of the German and ATA approved Marcato. Naftalin ox is also present in the dam line of the young eventer Brioni in Germany.
The dam
Full brother to the 2006 auction foal Tequila, who was sold to Canadian and ATA Vice President Shawnda Nadeau. This pedigree is a true outcross option and is loaded with genes long forgotten. Dam sire Graciano was one of the last Carajan-descendants, and his daughter Terra Prussia was inspected with excellent scores and is a foundation mare at the Markgraf stud. Very rare mare family of Tonga, which also produced the Swedich bred, but German stationed Trakehner stallion Imperator.
