The sire
Hofrat was the reserve champion in Neumünster in 2000. His full brother Hoftänzer followed only a year later in the same position. Both stallions have successful dressage careers, both at FEI levels in Germany. His sire EH Gribaldi was one of the breed's best dressage horses in the international circuits and produced a number of approved stallions, also in the KWPN breed. He is a maternal half brother to the FEI dressage stallion Goldino (by Patricius xx). Hofrat sired the 2005 Hanoverian Champion stallion Hotline, who sold at auction for a record high of 800,000 Euro. Dam sire Guter Planet is one of the breed's most proven and versatile sport horse sires and the third sire Effekt was a son of the great Habicht. Hofrat also has the stallion candidates 40 Karl Lagerfeld and 41 Giuliano in this year's collection.
The dam
Dam sire EH Münchhausen has an international career in dressage and in 2007, is still winning at Grand Prix after the third rider took over the reins. He was the champion in NMS in 1997, and has the approved sons Sambatänzer, Meraldik, Mon Baron and Garuda K (UK) in the Trakehner breed. His offspring win at FEI levels in dressage, and his daughters regularily are in front at the big inspection sites in Germany. The second dam Pandorra II is a daughter of the elite stallion Herzruf, a stallion who shares his direct dam line with Hibiskus, Hirtentanz, Heinrich der Löwe and Hölderlin, to name a few. Herzruf is equally successful in producing top dressage horses and show jumpers. The dam line of the approved Pomerol, Powerpoint and Patras. Full sister to the stallion candidate 42 Patent.
