The sire
Connery was approved in 2000, qualified for the Bundeschampionat twice and has been doing well as a dressage horse on his way to the FEI levels. His first crop appeared in Neumünster in 2004 and his first son, Aquarius, was approved. In 2005, his sons Elfenfeuer and Imperio were approved, the latter as the shining reserve champion in Neumünster, and in 2006, Connery again sired an approved son, the impressive dressage type Hulian. Connery also has an approved son in Hanover. Connery's dam Caro-Dame II is one of the few daughters of the very good Karo As in the breed, the only approved son of the excellent sport horse sire Vollkorn xx in Oldenburg. Caro-Dame II is a daughter of the late elite mare Cornau, who not only left the breed several highly ranked daughters, but most importantly, the elite stallion and major sire Consul. Other daughters of her include the Grand Prix winner Corna, dam of the premium stallion Checkpoint, or Cornu, dam of the approved Cornus.
The dam
Highly proven dam line for upper level dressage. Second dam Donauliebe II is a full sister to the mare Dorada, dam of the M dressage winner Don Arogno (by EH Arogno) and the over 100 times S and FEI dressage winner Donnersberg TSF (by EH Consul), who won over 80,000€ during his very long career and acts as schoolmaster today. Great combination for dressage with the lines of Marduc, Mahagoni and Impuls (sire of Schwarzwälder).
