The Trakehner in Show Jumping - Part II -

Schwedenruf by Kunzit out of Schwedenreise by Trajan. This approved bay stallion was an exceptional show jumper of his time and after his sale to Denmark, also established a winning record up to the highest levels in that country. His progeny and that out of his line even today, show his amazing athletic abilities. There is no existing direct stallion line, but outstanding daughters carry his valuable gentics into a new generation of Trakehner sport horses.

Indian Lady by Perlenglanz out of Ikone by Hessenstein. Indian Lady was one of Germany's most successful young jumpers at National level. By the age of 7, this little chestnut mare had won more than 25 advanced jumper classes and continued her career for quite some time under Jörg Hase. She was retired at stud with a win of appr. 33.000 Euro froom her active career and more than 50 (!) wins at S-level.

Waitaki by Orfej out of Chromotipja by Pris xx. Bred in Russia, this liver chestnut approved stallion was imported to Germany and was the best international Trakehner show jumper in the world at his time. He started his career with 45 consecutive double-clear rounds at FEI levels! He placed 2nd in the Samsung Nations Cup in 2002 after a series of top class competitions all around Europe. He has been a member of the German National Team many times under his owner and rider Holger Hetzel, who also managed to make Waitaki a celebrated breeding stallion in both the Westfalian and the Trakehner breed. His first offspring are winning at jumper shows at M level now, among them the approved Der Dürer and Blücher. Waitaki was named "Trakehner of the Year 2002". Tragically, an innjury ended the life of this magnificent stallion in August 2006, only 18 years old.

Almox Prints J by Hockey out of Pawana by Welt. Prints was born at the world famous Russian Trakehner stud of Kirov and was shown for Russia at the Seoul and Barcelona Olympic Games (1988 and 1992 respectively). He was then sold to Germany where he was shown by Elmar Gundel, winning some of the biggest European Jumper Shows, such as the Grand Prixs in Rotterdam/The Netherlands and Wiesbaden/Germany. Almox Prints J was retired from his active career and has been a top breeding stallion ever since. His kids are winning in his "homeland" Russia as well as in Germany. He has significant influence on the Westfalian and Trakehner breeds and is already the sire of approved stallions. Sadly, his only approved Trakehner son, the equally successful show jumper Donauprints, is infertile. Prints certainly is one of the world's most successful sires in show jumping, to be named together with Grandeur, For Pleasure, or Abdullah.

Sky Dancer by EH Beg xx out of ES Serenade by Habicht. Approved with a premium title in NMS in 1997, Sky Dancer was the best jumper at this event and moved on to finish with an impressive score in his 100 day test. Sky Dancer was bred to perform and does so most impressively. Still younger, he wins and places at advanced levels in Germany and rider Jochen Fromberger certainly hopes for more.

Sky Dancer's full brother Sky Walker was approved in NMS in 2001 and remains at stud to be the successor of his great sire EH Beg xx. The Russian-bred Beg xx is the first TB stallion to ever be awarded the title "Elite stallion" by the German Trakehner Verband.
