The Trakehner in Show Jumping - Part III -

Caruso Nero by Arcus xx out of Carmen by Hamlet AAH. This black stallion was bred an raised in Poland, and later imported by Hubertus Poll for his Hörem Stud in Germany.

Caruso Nero, who is a 3/4 Anglo Trakehner stallion, passed an impressive 70 day test with a jumping score well over 120 points, and has just finished his first season as a show jumper under Andreas Dibowski.

His 2005 season left him with a flawless record at L and M levels in German - this stallion pulled not a sinlge rail in all of 2005! Caruso Nero won his first S-level show in Hanover in July 2006.

Heops by Herson out of Olimpiada by Pawitsch. Another Russian bred, German-imported stallion of impeccable talent. Heops was approved for the Trakehner breed in late 2004 and already had a full book in the 2005 breeding season-- and rightly so! A show jumper of such outstanding quality that commentators from other breeds like to say "this is a Holsteiner", he celarly deserved all the attention he could get.

A truly amazing talent, and we hope to see more of him and young rider Isabell Heckmann, who already won several Grand Prixs during the 2005 season.

Donaumonarch by Sir Shostakovich xx out of ES Donauquelle vom Klosterhof by Morgenglanz. This bay was bred and owned by the Wahler family of Klosterhof Medingen. Donaumonarch competed up to international level open jumpers and represented Germany at the Insterburg World Cup in the mid 90s.

Additionally, he was a very good jumper producer in the breed and his approved son Tycoon can already be named as one of the better young sires in the breed in Europe. Tycoon now stands at stud in Great Britain. Donaumonarch's get excel in eventing as well, for exmaple the CCI*** eventer Ruprecht.

Sadly, Donaumonarch passed away in late December of 2003, only days before his famous sire Sir Shostakovich xx had to be put down.

Parforce by Habicht out of Punchestown Lady xx by Wily Trout xx. Both parents of Parforce, Habicht and Punchestown Lady xx, competed at the 1977 CCI*** Achselschwang, which Habicht won. An interesting combination of top eventers produced the bay Parforce, who was an advanced level open jumper and who is a leading jumper producer in Germany today, best represented by the most successful German Trakehner in show jumping today: Phantom TSF.

Parforce's daughters Bunbury TSF and Banteer TSF both competed internationally in eventing and both had to be retired in 2004 due to unfortunate accidents while in competition.
