The sire
Sedar is one of three active Zauberklang sons in Germany and was a successful CIC eventer and suprisingly, top European Western champion (who says the breed is not versatile?). Sedar's sire Zauberklang was the most important descendant of the outstanding Prince Rouge xx line, its origin at Gestüt Birkhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate. His sire Prince Conde was res champion in NMS and Prince ROuge xx is considered as one of the best jumper producers in the breed, to this day. Zauberklang's dam line has also produced many good jumpers, and from the same family, the stallion candidates 16 Zauberrubin and 38 Zaubertanz are in the collection this year. Sedar#s dam line is of Shagya Arabian background, founded by the mare Schalmei Sh.A.
The dam
Czardasfürstin Bo won the champion title of the Anglo Trakehner mares at the State Mare Show in Graditz this past summer. She is a daughter of the international Grand Prix dressage stallion EH Friedensfürst, whose offspring excel at top levels in show jumping. Like Czardasfürstin Bo, Friedenbsfürst's dam line is of TB origina, so that this pedigree overall carries a good dose of TB and Arabian lines. Second dam Canosina xx is a French TB with a race record on the flat and over hurdles. Her sire Dom Monteverdi xx is a grand son of the famous Tudor Melody xx, who is also grand sire of the influentiall Lauries Crusador xx.
