The sire
EH Hohenstein was a premium stallion of his approval in 1993, winner of the rideability part of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Bundeschampionat qualifier and successful S level dressage horse. EH Hohenstein's most noteworthy sons include the international Grand Prix stallion EH Münchhausen TSF, the bronze medalist at the FEI World Championships for young dressage horses, Insterburg TSF, the premium stallion Tambour and the Hanoverian champion stallion His Highness, who was sold at auction for over 500.000 Euro to American owners. EH Caprimond was reserve champion of his approval, winner of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Grand Prix dressage winner in the show ring and is sire of several approved stallions, not only in the Trakehner breed. His influence on the breed is also very big through numerous daughters, of which many have become stallion dams. Caprimond also has a battery of kids competing in the upper levels of dressage and has the highest breed index for type in the Hanoverian breed. The dam line of Hohenstein, Halensee, was predominantly kept active at the Verband stud Birkhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate in the 70s and 80s and also produced the ATA's outstanding movement producer Horizon and the approved Hamlet Go, Harlem Go and Hohenstein II (Hungary).
The dam
Ordina is a full sister to the approved premium stallion Ovaro and the Verband premium mare Orchidee, who was an auction highlight in Neumünster herself. The other two full siblings Okiara and Ohne Gleichen are also successful performance horses in Germany. Dam sire Kostolany is one of the breed's most popular stallions with over 200 registered daughters in the books and numerous approved sons, including the international Grand Prix star and KWPN keur stallion EH Gribaldi, the movement.producer Tolstoi, and the grey Silvermoon, sire of the Danish WEG champion mare Matine. Second dam sire Kurfürst stood at stud in Webelsgrund and is an important mare producer. Several of his daughters have produced important stallions, e.g. Schatztruhe (dam of Shannon), Heublume (dam of EH Heuriger, Husar and Heublume II, dam of Humanus), Indiana (dam of Illuster) or Altessa (dam of Arrak).
