Pr.St. Harfe

Pr.St. Harfe is a highly accomplished producer and comes from close maternal relation to a number of good performance horses in Germany and the US. This mare has an impeccable temperament, is sweet, sensitive and very affectionate and a first rate mother. Her offspring are tall, excellent movers and have success in competiton in dressge, eventing and show jumping in the UK and the US (see below). She is now made available by her longtime owner in Scotland. This is truly a gem, as her sire was one of the most versatile sport horses ever and only had limited influence - this is much saught after blood! Harfe has tremendous potential, and is a mare that will undoubtly add to your breeding program in the best possible way. She produced a colt in 2012 and is open for the 2013 breeding season.

About the sire:
Elan xx was a unique stallion, and the few breeders that still have his bloodlines available in their mares count themselves lucky. Iin his early career, this Czech-born son of German TB parents was a race horse. His sire managed to win the hardest steeplechase in the world, the Pardubice. Elan xx then sold to Holland and was developed as a show jumper. At the same time, he was approved for KWPN and was used moderately in the Dutch breed. From his time in the Netherlands, he left the outstanding dressage sire Ex Libris and a number of performance horses in all disciplines, as well as good daughters. As a 15yr old, he was exported to Germany and approved in South Germany as well as the Trakehner breed. He entered the breeding circuit in his very late teens and was used only on a very limited basis. At the same time and despite his age, he was trained in dressage and competed up to Inter I level.
His sire Wiesenklee xx is also the sire of Caramel xx, best know for his son Heraldik xx - the leading event horse producer of our time with several Olympic and World champions to his name among his first and second generation offspring. The "W" in Wiesenklee xx refers to the mare family of Waldrun, no doubt one of the best TB lines ever to be used in warmblood breeding. In Hanover alone, this line stands for a number of formidable stallions, and it should also be mentioned that the 2012 WBFSH "best dressage producer" in the world, the Hanoverian De Niro, is a 3rd generation "W" descendand. In fact, De Niro's 3rd dam sire Wiesenbaum xx and Elan's sire Wiesenklee xx were maternal half brothers! Other influential stallions from this line include Windwurf xx, Weidmann xx, Waidmannsdank xx, Waidmannsheil xx, Waldstar xx and Windspiel xx.
In the Trakehner breed, Elan xx managed to sire a handful of very good dressage horses and eventers, including three much admired stallion prospects for Neumünster and a Bundeschampionat-qualified eventer.

About the dam:
Henriette III has produced four daughters for the Trakehner breed, and each one was a hit. The first was Helia (by Elan xx), who was the National Champion mare in Germany in 1998. She is the dam of the FEI eventer Fantastik (by E.H. Connery, in the US), the S level dressage gelding Helmonte (by E.H. Monteverdi TSF), and the M level dressage gelding Harry P (by E.H. Cadeau). The next daughter was Pr.St. Helca by Le Duc, an accomplished performance mare and now dam of the successful Hunter Holland Park (by E.H. Cadeau), who was the ATA's Res Champion Baby Green Hunter in 2012. The third daughter Hennie *M* is dam of the CIC** Eventer Harry Houdini (by Tzigane *Pb*) and his full brother, Herzmond, a 1.30m show jumper. Harfe was the last Trakehner daughter of Henriette. She was inspected with premium scores and performance tested under saddle to receive her Verband premium title.
Dam sire E.H. Rockefeller was a most accomplished Grand Prix dressage horse and sire of not only influential and important sons, but performance horses at international level in dressage and eventing. Rockefeller's son E.H. Benz also competed at FEI levels in dressage, as did the other Rockefeller sons Artistic-Rock and E.H. Chardonnay. Rockefeller's son Fontainbleau was Champion in Neumünster and competed internationally at *** level in eventing. The performance potential of this family is truly exceptional! on top that, Rockefeller was the maternal half brother to E.H. Ravel - himself a FEI dressage competitor, and again sire of international level dressage and eventing horses.
Henriette III is the one mare that put this small original East Prussian mare family back on a broader basis - what an accomplishment not only for the mare, but also the breeders that managed all this, the Weinmann family in South Germany!
