"Lea" is as charming as any mare can be - outstanding in her Trakehner type and her noble manners, this mare is an exciting breeding and riding horse of very old, and unique bloodlines. Lea is currently in training under saddle and has reached 1st level. She also jumps with much scope and apparent enthusiasm and really blossoms in her daily work. She is sensitive in the most positive way and will mature late. Consistent with our approach to bring you not only proven Trakehner blood, but high quality Arabian and TB lines as well, this mare combines it all in her versatile genetic background.

UPDATE: "Lea" very successfully started her competition career with a top place finish at the 2013 Project Nurmi event horse test in East Germany, where she won the cross country suitability class (training level).

Ruffian Reef xx only had a short racing career of only 3 starts (1 win and 2 second places) before he was injured and retired. But he was noticed among warmblood breeders and was approved in 2006 for Oldenburg and in 2007 for Trakehners and the ZfdP. He also has a breeding permit for Westfalia and the Rhineland. The Trakehner Verband evaluation protocol says that "Ruffian Reef is a wonderful stallion who has strongly inherited his sire Singspiel's type and appearance. He is well-conformed, self-confident and alert. He also has really beautiful movement in all three gaits. Especially at liberty, he showed great self-carriage with a clear uphill tendency" (Lars Gehrmann).

Ruffian Reef's sire is Singspiel xx, who was bred and owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai, was born in 1992 out of the Eclipse Award winner and Canadian Horse racing Hall of Fame mare Glorious Song xx. Singspiel xx himself won major races on three continents including the Canadian International Stakes. He was retired in 1997 due to injury and has sired over 300 winning racehorses. His total earnings (2010) are over 62 millions USD. Singspiel's sire is In the Wings xx was a multiple Group I winner in Europe as well as the winner of the Breeder's Cup Turf in America. In the Wings xx has also had great influence in the warmblood breeding in Europe. For example his son Winged Love xx is the sire of the Holstein-approved Armand xx and the Trakehner- and Sachsen approved Fiepes Winged xx. The Champion of the Danish Trakehner Show in 2011, Fly Society xx is the grandson of In the Wings xx. Key West xx, the dam of Kiton xx, approved for Trakehner, Holstein and Hanover, is an In the Wings xx daughter. Sadler’s Wells xx can be found in the pedigrees of many warmblood horses. Peking Opera xx, who stood at the Graditz State Stud, produced several excellent eventers, e.g. the Athens Olympics eventing team gold winner, Selle Française Fine Merveille. Also his grandson Ibisco xx made a strong impact in Trakehner and Holstein breeding.

Ruffian Reef's 2nd sire Darshaan xx was also a winner on the flat and was chosen - among others - as Champion 3-year-old in France. Shirley Heights xx, the sire of Darshaan, was the grandson of the grey Hardicanute xx, in turn sire of the Trakehner approved Neuquen xx, who sired e.g. the Grand Prix – level stallion Saint Cloud, who is the sire of the famous Elite stallion Latimer. Neuquen xx is also the grandsire of Elite stallion Charly Chaplin.

Dam Diana was one of the few daughters of Dr. Reiner Klimke's former Grand Prix stallion Fabian in the Trakehner breed. At the age of seven Fabian won his first S-level dressage test and moved on to GP-level next year. Even today Fabian’s picture is shown when describing the perfect piaffe. Fabian was the first Trakehner stallion approved for his success in the dressage ring. His offspring was small in quantity but high in quality. Fabian was a ¾ brother to the world famous Trakehner showjumping stallion Abdullah *Pg*E* and is also the dam sire of the exceptional sport horse sire Handryk in Germany. Fabian's dam Fawiza has 16 foals during her active career, among them another approved and influential sire: Falke. Best known today as the dam sire of Kostolany, Falke also produced a number of good dressage horses and brood mares, and also competed at S level dressage himself.

Diana was a member of the appreciated and nowadays quite rare family A4A Duna Sh.A. (Gramatzki – Hamburg). Duna’s Trakehner daughter Diska produced E.St. Distan by Flaneur. Distan was, among others, the dam of the Oldenburg approved stallion D’Artagnan and the Trakehner approved Dynamit by Elfenglanz. This full brother of Diana’s dam was very successful in dressage at S-level, as was his full brother by the same name, Dynamit (owned by the Frese family of Bavaria, Germany). Equally successfull was the sire Elfenglanz, who later sold to Australia, where he became a stamping sire of the young Trakehner breed.

The combination Distel – Fabian, like Diana, can be found in the mare family of the approved stallion Dios von der Heide by E.H. Biotop. Another full sister to Diana - Divana is the 5th dam of the approved stallion and successful dressage horse Dorkas. Divana is also the granddam of a very successful dressage horse Darino. Diana’s full brother Dark Dancer competed at S-level both in dressage and showjumping.
