Harmonie

A dream in silver-grey! Levraut comes from an excellent background. His dam is a Champion Hunter in the US, and always impressed with her wonderful work ethic and charming character. Levraut is just like that. He is always looking forward to human contact, is easy to handle and ride, and shows wonderful movement paired with a nice, scopey jump. Due to his medium size, he is an ideal partner for riders looking for a new ride after a pony career. A horse that has a can-do attitude and has no limits under saddle.

About the sire:

Sire Donaufels was approved after he passed an excellent performance test under saddle. He then began his breeding career at Gestüt Sommerlade and sadly, was not developed as a competition horse anymore. In 2009, his son Kentucky was proclaimed as Champin stallion in Neumünster. EH Hohenstein was a premium stallion of his approval in 1993, winner of the rideability part of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Bundeschampionat qualifier and successful S level dressage horse. EH Hohenstein's most noteworthy sons include the international Grand Prix stallions EH Münchhausen TSF and more recently, the impressive black EH Insterburg TSF. Also important are EH Tambour (sire of NMS Champion and Bundeschampionat qualified Herzensdieb) and the Hanoverian champion stallion His Highness, who was sold at auction for over 500.000 Euro to American owners. In the Trakehner, Hanoverian and Oldenburg breeds, E.H. Hohenstein is a very consistent producer of outstanding dressage talent with an impact that can be found acound the world. He is an extremely consistent producer of type, high quality wallk and canter, as well as great rideability and willingness to work. Many sons of Hohenstein have been entered into the various stud books, the latest was Choral at the Spring Approvals of the Trakehner Verband in Germany in 2010.

His sire EH Caprimond was reserve champion of his approval, winner of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Grand Prix dressage winner in the show ring and is sire of successful FEI dressage horses, not only in the Trakehner breed. His influence on the breed is also very impressive through numerous daughters, grand daughters, and sons thereof. Some of the most popular stallions today carry Caprimond blood (e.g. E.H. Cadeau, Karolinger I TSF and the Le Rouge-sons Iskander, Lichtenfels and Störtebeker). The dam line of Hohenstein, Halensee, was predominantly kept active at the Verband stud Birkhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate in the 70s and 80s.

Several influential and successful performance stallions come from close maternal relation to Donaufels: Donaugold (S dressage), Donaumonarch (S show jumper), Donauprints (S show jumper), and Donaukaiser (M dressage).

About the dam:

Dam St.Pr.+Pr.St. La Boheme II was inspected with 55 points by the Trakehner Verband and passed an outstanding performance test under saddle, scoring 8.0 twice for her jumping. She was later sold to the US, where she won several Championship titles in her division at A-rated Hunter shows on the West Coast. Dam sire Key West was successful at intermediate levels in show jumping and dressage, and was one of the most versatile producers of his time. His full brother was the former NMS Champion and Inter I dressage winner K2. The international Grand Prix horse Kavalier and the successful eveter Kato come from close maternal relation. The small mare family of Lissi is versatile as well, and produced several good sport horses in all disciplines. The famous Grand prix mare Liaison is a good example, and interestingly, she too is by E.H. Hohenstein.
