About the sire:
Baron Verdi was bred and born in Germany, and exported to the US at age 15 months. He was successfully eventing through preliminary level, won major classes at Devon, won and placed in the FEI Young Horse tour and is now trained up to Prix St. Georg level. His offspring are remarkably versatile and while only few in numbers, they have won major National awards (e.g. Young Event horse Championships). Baron Verdi combines two of the most important dressage lines of our time in his outstanding pedigree. E.H. Monteverdi TSF was a maternal half-brother to the famous major dressage sire E.H. Michelangelo and came from a sire line of impeccable dressage qualities. As a performance horse, Monteverdi won his stallion performance test dressage index (137 points), qualified for the FEI World Championships of Young Dressage Horses, the Bundeschampionat, and the German Nürnberg Burgpokal (unofficial German national championships for young Grand Prix horses). He competed, placed and won at international Grand Prix dressage. As a sire, he produced one of the best young dressage lines in the breed. His son Oliver Twist, with his son Grand Passion (Champion NMS, current National French dressage champion), and his grandson Private Passion (premium NMS 2011) are highly recognized young sires. Monteverdi‘s son Aston Martin is a two‐times FEI World Championship competitor (for Denmark) and National Riding horse Champion. The young Monteverdi son Symont presented his first approved son out of his first foal crop in NMS in 2011.
E.H. Partout was also an international Grand Prix winner with Anky van Grunsven and established one of the strongest, most performance proven (international!) branches of the great Arogno family. Partout‘s offspring compete internationally in dressage. Interestingly, from close maternal relation, we also find the Olympic eventer Peppermint III as well as the Finish National Dressage champion, approved Payano.
The dam St.Pr.+Pr.St. Baroness was inspected with 55 points and successfully performance tested in Germany. Her daughter Baccara (by Amelio) jumps in 1.25-1.30m classes in Europe. The dam sire E.H. Anduc needs little introduction as a major sire of the breed after WWII, which only highlights his sire line as well, since both E.H. Marduc and grand sire Halali were influential producers of international competition horses. This is also the line of the exceptional international performance horse and sire of dressage horses, E.H. Solero as well as the ATA's popular Grand Prix stallion Hailo *Pg*E*. The second dam sire Etong (by Maharadscha) was an outstanding show jumper, but competed at Grand Prix level in dressage. He brings valuable TB blood through his dam sire Jonkheer xx (TB family 4, family of e.g. Coronach xx, Graustark xx, Hail to Reason xx, Nearco xx, Neckar xx and Ribot xx). Interestingly, Etong and Anduc blood is not necessatrily restricted to good dressage horses - one of Germany's most successful CCI**** horses, the Trakehner mare TSF Karascada M, is out of an Anduc dam. And Baron Verdi's second dam Barcarole also produced the CCI** stallion Banner. This is the Blitzlicht family from East prussia, which also stands for E.H. Banditentraum, Ballzauber, Bellissimo as well as the upper level performance horses Bellinger (Grand Prix dressage), Bona Henrika (S level dressage), Big Ben (full brother to Baron Verdi's dam, M level dressage) and Baroness la Jarthe (M level show jumper).
Sire: Baron Verdi

About the dam:
Havelle is a highly accomplished brood mare and combines two international performance lines in eventing and dressage. Her sire Windfall *Pg* won a team Olympic bronze medal as well as team and individual gold at the Pan Am Games. He is one of the most successful event horses in US history. As a sire, he has produced many, especially amateur-friendly performance horses in all disciplines. And Havelle's second dam sire, the great elite stallion Caprimond, stands like few others for outstanding temperaments and high natural rideability in his offspring. Now 28 years of age, he is still ridden every day and is in excellent health. The combination of these two great stallions is founded on a very solid mare family, in this case originally via the Main Stud Trakehnen mare Halensee, here via a branch of Hymne (by Sporn), and Havel (by Matador) - an ATA Honor Roll mare. She produced the Grand Prix mare Hera *Pg* as well as the CCI** successful eventer Herz Prinz. This is also the family of the major sire E.H. Hohenstein.
