Jagiello


This radiant chestnut stallion impresses with his outstanding athleticism and exceptional jump. Jagiello was bred in Poland, but his dam was sold to Finland prior to his birth and he was born in Finland. He is located in Germany for training purposes now. This is a horse with very serious international potential; he is eager to work and needs a good challenge to excel. We are certain this is a once in a lifetime horse for a rider looking for a top quality mount.

UPDATE: "Jagi" very successfully started his competition career with a top place finish at the 2013 Project Nurmi event horse test in East Germany in the fall of 2013.

About the sire:

Sire Czar was internationally successful in show jumping for Poland and gave a much admired performance at the Trakehner Stallion Show in Münster-Handorf several years ago. This grey stallion comes from a most proven background. In combination with the dam side, this pedigree carries the exceptional jumper producer and Olympic performer Poprad at several positions (Poprad is also sire of Aspirant!). The 3rd generation stallion Ciecieruk was a major sire for the Polish and later German Trakehner breed. He produced a number of high quality daughters, exceptional show jumpers, as well as top breeding stock. Among his high profile daughters was the foundation mare Grabina. The breed owes her the ATA approved Grafioso as well as Andreas Dibowski's international eventing mare Goldika, the M level show jumper mare Ginger IV (herself dam of performance horses), the M level show jumper and good sire Graziello, and the former ATA stallion Graffitti (FEI dressage). The excellent sire Freund I, influential as another show jumper producer in the GDR, is also out of a Ciecieruk daughter. His full brother Freund II was successful at S level dressage. Dana II by Ciecieruk founded a small family, again of above average jumping talent with the ZSAA approved Durin (M level jumper, prelim eventer) and the S level show jumper Dolce Vita. Ciecieruk's daughter Osternacht II also established her own small sport horse family in the former GDR, including the Mecklenburg-approved purebred Trakehner Ornamento as well as the S level successful approved Ostpreusse. His masterpiece in the breed was the approved Mazagran, bred in Poland but soon exported to Germany. Mazagran was a first rate sport horse producer; a stallion who had limited numbers of breedings, but made the best of them with approved sons, sport horses and quality breeding stock. His son Rittersporn (S level show jumper) had significant influence on the breed and in turn sired the approved FEI dressage stallion Bellissimo, his brother Belluno, and the influential Pardon Go (dam sire of premium stallion Harlem Go and of premium and CIC* winner Halimey Go). Rittersporn is also the dam sire of the approved, international show jumper Bel Espace Go.

About the dam:

Jasiolka was a Champion mare in Poland, where she was born. As a 3yr old, she was exported to Finland, where she still resides today. The dam sire Abjek presented the much admired Avatar in Neumünster in 2012, who not only got approved, but was also named "best jumper" of the event. Further, Ajbek is also sire of the international eventer Bossier (placed at the CIC** Bialy Bor, qualified for the World Championships of Young Event Horses, Lion d’Angers/FRA). Through the dam Jasiolka - an outstanding Champion mare from Poland - the important stallion Colombo comes into the mix. He was highly influential in Swedish warmblood breeding in the 1970s, and is e.g. the great grandsire of Kira Kyrklund's famous Olympian Matador.
